Valga this cover of our Blog to present projects together ahead with the Orfeo Ramon Llull, and that as is tradition, we invited choirs and cantaires friends.
Verdi Choral and Musical Palma Municipal Band and its director, Mario Errea, count on us to organize a large choir to accompany the program interval international that will make two of their concerts of the season. The repertoire consists in part of works by Verdi to celebrate the 200th anniversary of his birth. In the second, two medleys with songs of ABBA and West Side Story. The concerts will be on Friday May 24 in the Court of Mercy and Thursday July 4 at the Bellver Castle. Both confirmed dates. The rehearsals and work plan are already available. Harmonia Caelestis of Esterhazy Pàl (1711) Accompanied by Johannes Palaschko Camerata (Dir. Hector Bujosa), this first audition in Mallorca of the most important work of Esterhazy, the concert will be at the Basilica of Francesc Sat September 28 at 20:30 h. The rehearsals and work plan are already available. Individual Participants write to vineacantar@gmail.com.
The Messies, 2013. Fundación La Caixa. This year, the La Caixa Foundation takes up the idea of the Messiah Participative interval international presented in Palma until 2010. Orfeo have contacted the Ramon Llull to work with the great chorus participatory organization, which we happily bringing the experience gained in the "I came to sing The Messies" of 2011 and 2012. The concert will be in the Auditorium of Palma on December 18 at 21h. The cast this year is formed by the Catalan Baroque Orchestra, the Chamber Choir of the Palau de la Música Catalana, and soloists Lucy Crowe (soprano), Marianne Beate Kieland (contralto), Thomas Walker (tenor), David Wilson Johnson ( low), and the director will be Dutch Daniel Reuss. Parallel to these projects that fill us with pride and enthusiasm, we continue to work our personal repertoire and continue to shape every day to Orfeo Ramon Llull, as a space of human and musical growth for all its members and friends.
