Have spent a year as an au pair in Jacksonville, Florida, and is now in my sophomore year in Ramona

Today it was exactly a year since I set foot on American soil, in New York to spend 5 days at the Training School, and then go to my host family. That turned out to be the best family I could end up in. I have met so very good and interesting people during this year, many of them, I will have with me for life! I've gotten the chance to arrest in Florida, but also up at the East Coast, both with my host family, my newfound friends but also my real family and friends from home! I am very grateful for this year and I do not regret one second of it. It's crazy how fast the year has gone by and I over the next two weeks must say goodbye to everything and everyone here in Jacksonville. Goodbye to my two wonderful host children Jack and Carter, who from and to be little monsters but mostly the world's coziest! Goodbye to my amazing host parents Courtney and Jon who have made me feel like one of their family. Goodbye to my lovely friends here, both Americans and all au pair friends from all over the world. Goodbye to Sadie, my room, my car, boxing, beach, pool, shopping center, children's school, beach bars, yes everything has been "home" in a whole year. It is felt in the heart. As most already know, I will not stay here with my current host family, without the need to extend with a new one. My new host family lives in Ramona, CA. It is a small town about 45 minutes from San Diego. The family consists of mother, john l scott father and three (!) Children. A boy of 6.5 years, and twins, boy and girl of 5 years. The family sounds great and it will be exciting to see California. But for now, it feels so far away, that it's not real, but it is there, in 2 weeks, October 1, I sit on a plane to San Diego. But before that I will enjoy as much as I can of my last week here. Have a lot of fun to look forward to. Missing all of you at home, seen on 9 months, if not earlier! john l scott <3
